Breathing new life into historic buildings

At Taft, we create spaces that honour a building’s past, and serve its future. Each one of our projects blends conservation expertise with thoughtful, sustainable design and strategic planning. We guide you through the complex regulatory process from start to finish, working with you to unlock a building’s true potential.

Reuse and refurbishment

We’re passionate about extending the life of historic buildings while preserving their character. From heritage estates and listed buildings to private homes, we aim to breathe life into old buildings while minimising environmental impact.

Historic conservation
and restoration

Partnering with building custodians to adapt and enhance historic assets, we want to protect the past while planning for the future. Our conservation expertise guides sensitive restoration, and supports projects through surveys, feasibility studies and listed building or monument applications. We oversee the entire process from initial concept to on-site delivery, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship throughout.

Residential projects

We bring the same care and creativity to private homes as we do to landmark buildings, working closely with you to unlock the untapped potential of each building or site. Whether it’s an extension to an existing structure, a new build, or the reimagining of a series of spaces, we create spaces that inspire and endure.
